With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Dill!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Bonnano with that takedown attempt.
Bonnano shoots for a double leg takedown but Dill sprawls well. He's pushed Bonnano's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nice sprawl there from Bonnano as Dill shoots in.
Bonnano dives in for a single leg takedown but Dill sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Bonnano jumps guard but Dill turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bonnano definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Dill creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Bonnano's defenses.

Bonnano throws a big elbow that misses.

Dill wriggles free and stands up.
Dill fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bonnano avoids it really well and circles away.

and Dill holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dill putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Bonnano in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

A head kick by Bonnano misses

and Dill holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Bonnano breaks from the clinch.
Dill darts in looking for a takedown but Bonnano gets double underhooks and turns Dill into the cage.
Dill scores with a knee to the head.

Dill decides to pull guard.
Dill pulls Bonnano in to control the position.

Dill is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Bonnano tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dill smiles and moves away.
Bonnano misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dill moves into the clinch.
Dill connects with a nasty looking knee right to Bonnano's face.

Dill manages to pull guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dill holds on and takes a little breather.
Dill's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bonnano won't allow Dill to sweep him here.

Bonnano wants to pass the guard but Dill is keeping the position.

Mark Dill has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Bonnano throws a half hearted mid kick.

Dill has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. So far he's outscoring his opponent in the clinch so it seems to have been worthwhile.

Dill gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Mark Dill seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Bonnano trying to control but Dill is working from the bottom.
Bonnano is fighting to break Dill's control of his arms but Dill is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Dill manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Dill lands a big elbow.

Dill looking to control but Bonnano is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bonnano can't escape the position.

Mark Dill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Dill gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Bonnano stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bonnano wants it to stay on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Bonnano. No joy for Dill on that attempt.
Bonnano swings widly with a right hand

and Dill moves into the clinch.
Dill blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Dill jumps guard and drags Bonnano to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
