Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alak Aksornpan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Doumbos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aksornpan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Thai National Anthem - . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alak Aksornpan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alex Doumbos!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doumbos jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Alex Doumbos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doumbos throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Aksornpan tries a head kick but it misses.
Doumbos misses with a lunging right hand
and Aksornpan counters with a nice low kick that buckles Doumbos's knee momentarily.
Nice uppercut lands for Aksornpan. That snapped Doumbos's head back.
A left and a right from Aksornpan both land. Nice combination.
Doumbos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Doumbos wants to clinch.
Aksornpan misses with a low kick.
Aksornpan misses with a two punch combination.
Sloppy strikes from Aksornpan. Those never looked like landing.
A combination from Aksornpan does no damage.
Aksornpan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Doumbos eats them both and turns towards Aksornpan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Doumbos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aksornpan tries to avoid it but Doumbos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aksornpan to the ground. Aksornpan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Doumbos scores with a leg kick.
Aksornpan wants to land a leg kick but Doumbos is out of range.
Aksornpan has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Rape Academy in the buildup to the fight.
A punch combination from Aksornpan misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Doumbos with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Aksornpan to score with a decent uppercut.
Doumbos shoots in but no luck this time.
Doumbos checks the leg kick nicely there.
Doumbos dives in for a single leg takedown but Aksornpan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Alak Aksornpan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Doumbos.
Aksornpan blocks an uppercut.
Doumbos breaks the clinch.
Doumbos takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Aksornpan with a hook.
Doumbos is rocked!
Doumbos throws a lazy right hand but Aksornpan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Aksornpan swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Aksornpan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Aksornpan lands a left and a right that send Doumbos crashing to the mat, dazed. Aksornpan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Doumbos is still on wobbly legs! Can Aksornpan finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Doumbos has closed the distance and engaged Aksornpan in a clinch.
Doumbos is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Doumbos drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Aksornpan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Aksornpan breaks the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Aksornpan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Doumbos has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Doumbos and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Doumbos loses concentration momentarily and Aksornpan pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Doumbos crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Aksornpan finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Alak Aksornpan!
A very excited looking Alak Aksornpan rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
