Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cortez Brennan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Weed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brennan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Weed but Weed pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Weed feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Weed is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Brennan reverses the position - he's now on top in Weed's guard.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Brennan enables Weed to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Brennan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Weed manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Brennan on his heels. He'll look to pass Brennan's guard now, I'm sure.

Brennan has his foot on Weed's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Weed works his way back into a safe position though.
