Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Prince Bowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Gunderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Prince Bowman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Harry Gunderson!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Gunderson or perhaps it was just good defense by Bowman which made him look bad.
Gunderson misses with a takedown attempt

and Bowman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Bowman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Gunderson forces Bowman back against the cage and clinches.

Gunderson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bowman to keep the fight standing.
Prince Bowman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Gunderson.

Gunderson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bowman smiles and moves away.

so Bowman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Bowman decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Bowman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gunderson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bowman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bowman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gunderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bowman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gunderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bowman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gunderson is trying to control the position but Bowman postures up.
Bowman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gunderson has momentary wrist control but Bowman slips an elbow through the middle.

Gunderson is striking off his back. Bowman thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.

Bowman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gunderson is just riding it out for now. Bowman eventually gives up the hold.

Bowman is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gunderson sees it coming and defends easily.

Gunderson wants to control but Bowman passes easily into half guard.

Gunderson controls Bowman momentarily but Bowman frees himself.
Bowman is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gunderson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bowman back to the cage. Gunderson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Gunderson wants to control but Bowman is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Bowman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Bowman tries to improve position but can't.

Prince Bowman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gunderson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bowman has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gunderson but great work by Bowman.

Bowman looks up at the clock and then as Gunderson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bowman smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Bowman has hold of Gunderson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Gunderson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Bowman cranks the arm and Gunderson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Gunderson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
