The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poulain throws a leg kick which misses Crowe's front leg but catches the back leg as Crowe tries to avoid it.
Poulain takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Crowe throws an overhand right that lands on Poulain's shoulder, as Poulain tries to avoid the shot.
Crowe misses with a body shot

and Poulain counters with a shoot takedown. Crowe fights it but they end up in guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Poulain is fighting to break Crowe's control of his arms but Crowe is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Crowe trying to keep a closed guard but Poulain is proving a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rodger Crowe.
A jab from Crowe misses.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Poulain. Crowe shrugs it off though.
Crowe goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
A nice leg kick lands there from Poulain.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crowe missing with a left hand there. Poulain was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Crowe takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Poulain shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Crowe sprawls well. Crowe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Poulain gets slowly back to his feet.
Crowe has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Poulain takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

enabling Crowe to counter with a crisp jab.
Crowe throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Poulain on the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sloppy strikes from Crowe. Those never looked like landing.
Rodger Crowe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Crowe counters with a nice right hand that sends Poulain toppling to the canvas! Poulain scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Crowe finish him?!

Poulain is rocked!

It looks like Amelie Poulain has been cut.
Poulain drops his hands for a split second and Crowe immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Poulain face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Crowe follows up with a right hand that knocks Poulain into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
