PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gattsu Tsvetkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sailor Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen Disciples of Power - Lords of Creation as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gattsu Tsvetkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sailor Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsvetkov lands a jab to Gracie's midsection.
Tsvetkov bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gracie's head backwards.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gracie has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Tsvetkov tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tsvetkov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've been told by Tsvetkov's head coaches at Bi-polar Asylum that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Tsvetkov scores with a jab to the jaw.
Gracie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tsvetkov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gracie somewhat.
Tsvetkov connects with a leg kick. Gracie looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tsvetkov swivels and escapes.
Gattsu Tsvetkov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sailor Gracie.
Gracie shoots and misses
and Tsvetkov counters with an inside leg kick.
Tsvetkov tests Gracie's chin there with a solid looking shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie walks into a left hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie tries for a takedown but Tsvetkov circles away easily
and Tsvetkov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tsvetkov throws a one two combo.
Gracie moves in looking to clinch but Tsvetkov pushes him off.
Gattsu Tsvetkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tsvetkov feints a jab promting Gracie to slip. Tsvetkov then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gracie slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Gattsu Tsvetkov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tsvetkov lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gracie tries to clinch there but Tsvetkov circles away.
Tsvetkov lands with a good body shot.
Tsvetkov lands a really nice looking cross but Gracie seems unphased.
Tsvetkov thuds a left hand into Gracie's body.
Tsvetkov connects with a body shot.
Tsvetkov bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gracie's head.
Gracie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tsvetkov scores with the left hand. Gracie knows he should have avoided that one.

Gracie is rocked!
and Tsvetkov counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Gracie! He's just covering up as Tsvetkov starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gattsu Tsvetkov!
