Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brooks Barr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Cameron Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cameron Jr throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Barr tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cameron Jr is in Barr's guard.
Cameron Jr looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Barr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Barr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Barr drops back looking for a leg! Cameron Jr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cameron Jr manages to kick Barr off! Barr jumps back into Cameron Jr's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cameron Jr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cameron Jr is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Barr is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Barr is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cameron Jr to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cameron Jr shrugs it off.
BOOM! Barr connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Barr has his foot on Cameron Jr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cameron Jr works his way back into a safe position though.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Samuel Cameron Jr hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Barr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cameron Jr swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Barr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cameron Jr paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fighters are battling for position here. Barr manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Cameron Jr is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Barr has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Cameron Jr is looking to defend but Barr has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Cameron Jr! Barr pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Cameron Jr taps out and this one is all over!
