Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Very Magnum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Thompson's choice of entrance music: Oasis - Fuckin' In The Bushes. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Magnum clinches.

Thompson breaks from the clinch.
Very Magnum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Magnum looks for a takedown but Thompson sprawls well.
Magnum takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

No luck for Magnum with that takedown attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Magnum dives in and grabs Thompson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Thompson pushes down on Magnum's head and hops out.

Magnum throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Thompson lands a jab-cross combination.
Magnum fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Magnum is breathing heavily.
Magnum tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Thompson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Thompson lunges at Magnum with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Magnum's hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Magnum tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Magnum darts in looking for a takedown but Thompson gets double underhooks and turns Magnum into the cage.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Magnum. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Thompson has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
Horrible takedown attempt by Magnum or perhaps it was just good defense by Thompson, which made it look bad.
Magnum shoots in and drives through. Thompson sprawls well.

Thompson leaves Magnum with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Magnum has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Magnum moves forwards but Thompson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Magnum shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Thompson pinned against the cage. Thompson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Thompson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Magnum stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Nice combo by Thompson! Oh, that's hurt him - Magnum falls to the canvas and Thompson follows him into side control.

Magnum is rocked!

You get the feeling that Thompson really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Thompson wants to hold on but Magnum pushes him away.

Magnum punching from mount but Thompson doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Magnum wants to control the pace but Thompson is squirming around nicely.
Thompson tries to lock up and control but Magnum gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Thompson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Magnum can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Thompson is looking to escape.
Thompson wants to control but Magnum is having none of it.
Thompson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Magnum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Magnum in particular looking to stall.

Very Magnum has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Thompson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Magnum closes the distance but Thompson moves to the side
and Thompson counters with a right hand to the body.
Magnum shoots in for a double leg but Thompson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Thompson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Magnum changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thompson tries to avoid it but Magnum manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thompson to the ground. Thompson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Very Magnum has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
David Thompson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
