PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Giri Essex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danso Obasanjo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Essex comes into the arena with Hypest Hype blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obasanjo throws a lazy uppercut
and Essex cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Essex with a jab.
Essex slips a straight right by Obasanjo.
Essex dodges the punch combination from Obasanjo.
Obasanjo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Essex defends well and Obasanjo ends up having to push Essex into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Essex tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Essex goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Essex is struggling to control the position.
Essex misses with an elbow strike.

Giri Essex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danso Obasanjo.

Essex lands a left hand that snaps the head of Obasanjo backwards.

Obasanjo is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A short body shot lands from Essex as the two fighters clinch.

Essex lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Essex breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No luck for Obasanjo with that takedown attempt.
Essex misses with a head kick.
Obasanjo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Essex throws a front kick that sends Obasanjo stumbling back into the cage.
Essex fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Obasanjo out cold! Brutal finish!

A relieved looking Giri Essex thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
