Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Tentheros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Batts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batts has chosen Pro-pain - Make war (not love) as his entrance music. Billy Batts acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batts chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Tentheros misses with a head kick.
Tentheros ducks right into an uppercut from Batts.
Tentheros connects with a leg kick. Batts looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Tentheros cracks the inside of Batts's front leg.
Tentheros attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Tentheros bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Batts on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Tentheros tries to clinch but Batts is having none of it.

Batts has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Batts checks a leg kick.
Tentheros looks for the body kick but Batts saw that one coming.
Tentheros loads up on a big right hand but Batts slips the punch.
Tentheros fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Batts manages to avoid it.

Batts throws a low kick but Tentheros moves out of range easily.
Tentheros shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Tentheros lands a slapping body shot.
Tentheros cracks the inside of Batts's front leg.
Batts takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Tentheros works the jab nicely.
Tentheros misses with a body shot.

Tentheros tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Batts was well out of range. Poor timing from Tentheros.
We've been told by Tentheros's head coaches at Palazzo Paisano that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Batts throws a jab when Tentheros was well out of range.
Tentheros swings for the body but Batts moves out of range.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Tentheros.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Batts misses with a few strikes there.
Tentheros misses the shot to the body.

Batts lands a right hook to the body.
Tentheros swings for the body but Batts moves out of range.
Batts throws a low kick but Tentheros avoids it.
Tentheros is looking to wear down Batts with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Batts throws a head kick that misses.
Ken Tentheros seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Batts uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tentheros.
Tentheros misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Batts counters with a stiff right hand.
Tentheros tries to clinch but Batts is having none of it.
Tentheros checks a leg kick nicely.
Tentheros throws a low kick, looking for Batts's leg but Batts calmly moves out of range.

Batts with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Batts gets caught flat footed, as Tentheros shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Batts has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Tentheros throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Batts works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Tentheros throws an elbow that misses. Batts uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tentheros's guard. Nice move by Batts!
Batts trying to stand up but can't free himself from Tentheros's guard.
Batts won't allow Tentheros to sweep him here.
Batts postures up.
Batts not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Batts got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tentheros has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Batts has managed to get both his arms back between Tentheros's legs - danger averted.

Tentheros has his foot on Batts's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Batts works his way back into a safe position though.
Tentheros wants to sweep here but Batts controlling him for the moment.

Tentheros working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Batts doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Tentheros is tightening it up a little... Batts has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Batts reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Batts taps out! Nice BJJ there by Tentheros!
