PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Remulus Romus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stadin Kingi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kingi's choice of entrance music: Judas Priest - Prophecy. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romus blocks a jab.
Kingi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kingi swings for the body but Romus moves out of range.
Kingi has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Kingi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kingi lands a leg kick that knocks Romus off balance momentarily.

Romus lands a left and a right that send Kingi crashing to the mat, dazed. Romus thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Stadin Kingi has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Romus checks the leg kick nicely there.
Romus connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Stadin Kingi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kingi feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Romus's calf.
Kingi throws a quick inside leg kick.
Donk. Kingi catches Romus right on the button with a cross.
Romus misses with a wild combination.
Kingi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kingi moves out of range of the strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Romus ducks right into an uppercut from Kingi.
Kingi lands a leg kick that knocks Romus off balance momentarily.
Kingi misses the jab.
Kingi lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Romus backs up against the cage.
Romus thuds a left hand into Kingi's body.
Romus digs a good body shot into Kingi's ribs.
A jab from Romus does it's job there.
Kingi feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Romus's calf.
Romus has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A looping hook to the body misses from Romus. Kingi does a little dance to reset his feet.

Romus feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kingi sprawling to the canvas! Kingi rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Romus finish him?!

Kingi is rocked!
Kingi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kingi is looking to slow Romus down with leg kicks.
A big left from Romus misses.
Romus steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kingi.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Romus throws an overhand right that drops Kingi like a sack of potatoes! Romus dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
