The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ruent counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Daniels rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Ruent counters by moving into the clinch.
Ruent works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Ruent scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Ruent keeps control of Daniels as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Nice body punch from Ruent - that landed with a thud.
Ruent lands a body shot in the clinch.

Ruent presses Daniels against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Ruent lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Ruent creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Daniels's defenses.

Daniels is breathing heavily.
Ruent lands an elbow inside.
Ruent unloads a knee to the mid-section.

and Ruent counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Ruent rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Daniels moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Ruent counters with a big left hand that crumples Daniels! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

Rick Ruent decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
