Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sanchez Marron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and West Rockford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockford comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Latino N Proud by DJ Raff kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rockford feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Rockford postures up and lands a big shot to Marron's brow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marron controls Rockford momentarily but Rockford frees himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rockford throws an elbow that misses. Marron uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rockford's guard. Nice move by Marron!

Rockford escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marron gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Marron wants to control from the top but Rockford keeps moving.

Rockford escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marron gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Marron wants to pass the guard but Rockford is keeping the position.

Marron postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rockford is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Marron, into his guard.

Marron manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rockford manages to get himself to full guard.
Marron is in close to Rockford's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Marron got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rockford has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Marron has managed to get both his arms back between Rockford's legs - danger averted.

Marron drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rockford looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rockford looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rockford!

Marron manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Rockford is nestled in close to Marron, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Marron makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Marron.

Rockford thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rockford works over Marron with some ground and pound from guard.
Rockford is in close to Marron's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Rockford really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marron. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Marron has momentary wrist control but Rockford slips an elbow through the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

West Rockford dominated that round.

Rockford lands a big uppercut and Marron crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Marron looks OK. Rockford waves Marron back to his feet!

Rockford closes the distance looking for a takedown. Rockford picks Marron up and slams him brutally to the floor. Marron is out! He's out cold! Wow, you don't see a finish like that every day!
