PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quintus Daedalus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sunny Supernova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daedalus's entrance music is Spartacus Soundtrack. A fine choice. Sunny Supernova told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Supernova throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Daedalus has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Daedalus misses with a body shot
and Supernova counters with a leg kick.
Supernova scoring well with a low kick there.
Sunny Supernova seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Supernova lands a really nice looking cross but Daedalus seems unphased.
Supernova fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Supernova misses with a head kick.
Supernova lands a body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Supernova fails to land with a series of punches.
Supernova connects with a nice looking jab.
Supernova cracks Daedalus with an open hand slap.

Daedalus scores with a takedown into Supernova's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Daedalus is working Supernova over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Supernova regains half guard, as Daedalus was trying to land strikes.

Supernova wants to hold on but Daedalus pushes him away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Supernova is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Daedalus can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Supernova is looking to escape.
Poor strikes thrown by Daedalus there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Daedalus is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Supernova to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Supernova shrugs it off.

Daedalus throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Supernova because Daedalus loaded up on that one.

Daedalus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
