Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kalle Kula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skyler Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kula comes to the cage accompanied by Bullet - Bite the Bullet. The crowd seem to be enjoying Nelson's choice of entrance music: One. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

With a record of 15 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Skyler Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kula shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nelson's guard.

Kula avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kula thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kula is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kula stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nelson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kula drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kula jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Nelson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kula gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kula pushes down on Nelson's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Kula is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nelson is just riding it out for now. Kula eventually gives up the hold.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kula has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Nelson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kula yanks on the arm and Nelson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kula.
