Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Clow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deanthony Wagner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kyle Clow has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kyle Clow seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kyle Clow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Deanthony Wagner!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagner throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
No luck for Clow with that takedown attempt.
Clow takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Wagner leaves Clow with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A punch combination from Wagner misses.
Wagner throws a series of strikes that have Clow backpedaling.
Wagner misses with a two punch combination.
Clow tries to clinch up but Wagner circles away and keeps his distance.
Wagner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Clow but Clow pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A head kick from Clow lands but Wagner takes it in his stride.
Wagner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Wagner feints a jab promting Clow to slip. Wagner then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Clow slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Clow tries to close the distance and clinch but Wagner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sloppy strikes from Wagner. Those never looked like landing.
Wagner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Clow did well to prevent Wagner getting side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wagner is trying to control the action in half guard but Clow is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Wagner works his way into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wagner is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Clow knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Wagner tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wagner has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Clow wants to control but Wagner is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Wagner wants to free his trapped foot but Clow is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Clow makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Wagner changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Clow looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wagner is breathing heavily.
Clow regains half guard there - taking advantage of Wagner's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Clow gets back to full guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Wagner sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Wagner stands up and waves to Clow to follow him.
Wagner tries to bum rush Clow with a series of wild strikes but Clow uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kyle Clow will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Wagner working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Clow has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wagner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Wagner throws an elbow that misses. Clow uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wagner's guard. Nice move by Clow!
Wagner pulls Clow in close to his closed guard and prevents Clow from doing any damage or advancing position.

I would just about give that final round to Deanthony Wagner.
