The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson shoots in for a takedown but Flair shows good takedown defense.
Thompson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Thompson or perhaps it was just good defense by Flair which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willy Thompson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Flair tries to bum rush Thompson with a series of wild strikes but Thompson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Flair missing with a left hand there. Thompson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Flair throws out a loose jab but Thompson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Flair scores with a nice strike.
Flair cracks Thompson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Flair has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Thompson to stand back up!

Thompson is rocked!

It looks like Willy Thompson has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Flair ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Thompson out cold! The fight is over!
