Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Roach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Luiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Roach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Luiz!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Roberts and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roach throws out a loose jab but Luiz uses good head movement to avoid it.

Luiz moves into range and clinches up with Roach.
Luiz lands with a light punch inside.

Luiz is trying to trip Roach. He has hold of a leg but Roach is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Luiz persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Roach is looking for a triangle but Luiz pushes his legs off easily.
Roach wants to sweep but no luck.
Luiz wants to control from the top but Roach keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Luiz content to stall in guard here.
Luiz trying to control but Roach is working from the bottom.
Luiz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. David Luiz wasn't active enough on the ground.
The crowd cheers as Luiz lands an impressive looking overhand right. Roach doesn't seem phased though.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Luiz is working for takedown but Roach is calmly controlling the position for now.

Luiz has Roach pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Luiz pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Roach tumbling to the mat - Luiz dives into Roach's guard.
Luiz won't allow Roach to sweep him here.
Luiz chips away with some ground and pound.
Luiz throws a big elbow that misses.

Luiz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roach swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Luiz sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Roach doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Luiz paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Roach - great work!
