The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Silfversberg misses.
Little shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silfversberg as he jumps to the side.
Little blocks a jab.
Little throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Little fails to land the takedown.
Silfversberg defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Little.
Jakob Silfversberg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Omar Little.
Little misses with a body kick.

Silfversberg throws a hook to the side of Little's head but Little sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Little working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Silfversberg wants to sweep here but Little controlling him for the moment.
Little won't allow Silfversberg to get back to his feet.
Little throws a big elbow that misses.
Little throwing strikes but missing.
Little tries to free his leg and advance position but Silfversberg is retaining full guard.
Silfversberg looking to hit a scissor sweep but Little is one step ahead there.

Silfversberg tries to lock up and control but Little gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Little postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silfversberg looks a forlorn figure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silfversberg is working to get back to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Little lands a couple of good shots and Silfversberg has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Little cracks Silfversberg with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Silfversberg from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Little lands a good shot there. Silfversberg covers up! Little smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns Silfversberg to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Little jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!
