The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Overeem misses its intended target.
Moon circles away from the clinch attempt
and Moon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Moon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Overeem doesn't seem bothered though.
Overeem throws a lazy uppercut

and Moon counters with a shoot takedown. Overeem fights it but they end up in guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Overeem wants to stand but Moon is controlling the position.
Moon tries to free his leg and advance position but Overeem is retaining full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Monsun Moon was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Overeem tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Moon paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Moon just misses with a punch to the body.
Moon has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Cees Overeem is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Overeem on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Moon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Overeem but Overeem pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Moon shoots in looking for a takedown. Overeem tries to sprawl out of it but Moon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Overeem manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Overeem fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Moon, pushing him back against the cage.
Overeem tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Overeem looking to throw knees to the head but Moon is blocking nicely.
Moon blocks an elbow strike.
Overeem misses with a hook from the clinch.

Our sources have told us that Overeem has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
