Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Titus Raptis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackjan Tio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Titus Raptis looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Titus Raptis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jackjan Tio!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raptis is looking to clinch but Tio is avoiding it.
Raptis misses with a body kick.
Raptis fails with the takedown.
Tio tries to clinch but Raptis is having none of it.

Tio closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Tio is looking to take a break and control but Raptis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Raptis is trying to maintain the position but Tio is very close to passing his half guard.
Raptis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tio on the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because Titus Raptis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Tio avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Tio shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Raptis is looking to control Tio's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Raptis avoid being mounted?
Raptis is breathing heavily.
Raptis is looking to improve his position.
Raptis desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Raptis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tio is working away from the top position though.

We're going to have a standup here because Titus Raptis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Tio shoots for a double leg takedown but Raptis sprawls well. He's pushed Tio's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A combination from Raptis does no damage.
Raptis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Raptis leaves Tio with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tio tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Raptis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Raptis lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Raptis throws a nice looking combination but Tio bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Titus Raptis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tio looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tio takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Raptis is not content to let Tio control the position.
Raptis is looking to escape.

Tio trying to control from half guard but Raptis is working away.

Raptis is defending against the submission attempts here by Tio.
Tio passes to side control.
Raptis can't do much from the bottom here.
Raptis managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Tio.
Tio tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Tio trying to control the action but Raptis is working from the bottom.
Tio misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Raptis looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
You can see the frustration on Raptis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Tio tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Raptis striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Tio wants to stand but Raptis has his arm trapped.
Raptis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Raptis wants to get back to his feet but Tio is dominant here and he's now got Raptis's back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackjan Tio dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Raptis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Raptis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Raptis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tio swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Raptis throws a jab when Tio was well out of range.
Raptis looks for a takedown but Tio sprawls well.
Tio looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Raptis is fending him off so far but Tio persists. Nope, Raptis circles away and we're back to standing.
Tio tries a head kick but it misses.
Raptis wants to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tio.
Raptis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Raptis waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tio.
Raptis fails with the takedown.
Tio shoots in for a takedown but Raptis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Titus Raptis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackjan Tio.
Raptis shoots for a takedown but Tio saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Raptis swats away the attempt to clinch by Tio.
Raptis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tio.
Titus Raptis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tio drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Raptis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Tio connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Raptis some visible discomfort.
Tio is looking to take a break and control but Raptis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tio misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Tio in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Raptis tries to control but Tio manages to take his back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Raptis controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Raptis grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

Tio is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Raptis is tapping out! This one is all over!
