Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Dirst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stoney Dukes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stoney Dukes has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Don Dirst's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Don Dirst!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stoney Dukes!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dukes throws a series of punches but Dirst avoids them all with ease.
Dukes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dirst shoots for a double leg takedown but Dukes sprawls well. He's pushed Dirst's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dukes fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Dirst moves away from the strike by Dukes.

Dirst clinches up against the cage.
Dirst keeps control of Dukes as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Dirst manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Dirst has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Dukes is trying to keep an underhook but Dirst manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dirst shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Dukes's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dirst changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dukes tries to avoid it but Dirst manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dukes to the ground. Dukes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dukes might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Dirst throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dukes's waist but Dukes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dirst off to one side.

Dirst shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dukes as he avoids it easily.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dirst, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
