Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGiggle throws a head kick that Merritt semi-blocks.
It looks like Pablo Merritt has been cut.
A head kick misses from McGiggle.
Merritt decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Merritt throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Merritt thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McGiggle's head.

Merritt is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Merritt lands a couple of elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Merritt throws an elbow that misses. McGiggle uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Merritt's guard. Nice move by McGiggle!

Merritt is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but McGiggle frees his head nicely. Oh but Merritt has switched to an armbar! McGiggle is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
