Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drandt Bavis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bavis has chosen When I'm Gone as his entrance music. Drandt Bavis will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bavis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bavis throws a solid leg kick but Murphy takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Bavis.

Murphy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bavis counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Bavis drops down looking for an ankle pick but Murphy pulls his leg out and moves away.
David Murphy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drandt Bavis.
Bavis lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Murphy jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Murphy throws a nice looking combination but Bavis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Nice straight punches there by Bavis. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bavis.
Bavis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bavis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No joy there for Bavis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bavis connects with a stiff jab that staggers Murphy - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
