Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hyun Tae Kang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hang Kwon!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kang goes for a double leg but Kwon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kwon continues to drive forward.
Kwon tries to pull guard but Kang holds him up against the cage and eventually Kwon drops back down to his feet.
Kang misses with a knee strike.
Kang is trying to drag Kwon to the mat but Kwon just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Kwon gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kang.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hyun Tae Kang. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kwon decides to pull guard.
Kwon controlling the position.
Kwon controls Kang momentarily but Kang frees himself.
Kwon looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kang passes into side control.
Kwon struggling a bit here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Who's going to make the next move?
Kwon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kang wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Kwon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kwon gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Kwon is trying to get back to full guard.
Kwon is looking to control Kang's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kwon avoid being mounted?
Kwon keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Kwon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kang's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kang's back!
Kwon throwing damaging strikes from the back! Kang could be in trouble here!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kwon has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Kwon is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Kang won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Kwon off his unconscious opponent!
