Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Seasy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maigonis Lupata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seasy comes to the cage accompanied by Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lupata clinches.

Lupata gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Seasy manages to get to full guard.

Seasy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Seasy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lupata is aware though and is defending well.

Lupata drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lupata jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Seasy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Lupata controls from within his opponent's guard.

Lupata is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nice sprawl there from Seasy as Lupata shoots in.

Seasy gets caught napping as Lupata dives in and scores a takedown. Seasy manages to retain guard.

Seasy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Lupata got a little sloppy there for a moment and Seasy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lupata has managed to get both his arms back between Seasy's legs - danger averted.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lupata accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lupata is in close to Seasy's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Lupata lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Seasy has his foot on Lupata's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lupata works his way back into a safe position though.

Lupata has hold of Seasy's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Seasy seems comfortable defending it but Lupata has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Seasy is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Seasy is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lupata couldn't care less - he's delighted!
