Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Herzog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Herzog might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Takida - Curly Sue. Alves has chosen Trik Turner - Friends and Family as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves throws a body shot but no joy.
Alves throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Herzog counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Alves wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Herzog has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Alves lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Herzog has his feet on Alves's thighs here. He's pushed Alves off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Alves screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
