PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregor Clegane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filipovic is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Duran Duran - The wild boys. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic looks for the body kick but Clegane saw that one coming.
Filipovic has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Clegane is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Oooooh!!! Filipovic has knocked Clegane down with a huge combo! Filipovic steps away and waves a wobbly Clegane back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Gregor Clegane has been cut.
Clegane seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Clegane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Clegane drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Filipovic manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Clegane has Filipovic in his guard.

Clegane wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Clegane is on top in guard.

Clegane will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Clegane seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Filipovic for as long as he can get away with.

Clegane is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Filipovic defends it well.

Clegane is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Filipovic's shoulder. That is not cool.
