Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kim Young Il (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcos Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Il comes to the cage accompanied by RATM - Renegades of Funk. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
23 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kim Young Il!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marcos Silva!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Il scores with a jab to the head.
Silva walks into a stiff left hand from Il.
Il tests Silva's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Silva avoids the head kick by Il.
Silva throws a right hand that Il ducks under and follows up with a left that Il also avoids with ease.
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Il circles away.
Il takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Il lands a jab to the head.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Il as he jumps to the side.
Silva moves out of range as Il strikes.
Silva takes a swing at Il's ribcage but misses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silva takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Il moves out of range of the strikes.
Il does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Nice sprawl there from Il as Silva shoots in.

Silva throws a poor cross that misses
and Il counters with a head kick. That will keep Silva thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Il circles away.
Silva throws a body shot but no joy.
Silva jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Il fails to land with a series of punches.

and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Il shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kim Young Il has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcos Silva.
Silva misses with a body shot.
Il lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Il lands a nice leg kick that just misses Silva's sensitive parts.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silva looks to score with a jab to the body but Il is just out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Il feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Il changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've been hearing that Il has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Il looking to sit in guard and control but Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Il looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Il pulls Silva in close to prevent any damage.
Il working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Silva stands up over Il, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Il bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Il's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Silva looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Silva seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kim Young Il.
Silva throws a low kick, looking for Il's leg but Il calmly moves out of range.
Il thuds a left hand into Silva's body.
Il feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silva's calf.
Il circles away from the clinch attempt.
Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Silva tries to clinch up but Il circles away and keeps his distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Il catches Silva with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Il feints and then cracks Silva's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Silva down.
Il scores with a jab.
Il looking to land some kicks to the body here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kim Young Il dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Il makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Silva throws a left and a right that both miss
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Il buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Il works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like Marcos Silva has been cut.
Il avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Il's jab looks to have found its range, popping Silva under the eye.
Il throws a body shot but no joy.
Il is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Il lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Silva takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Il ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
Left hook, right uppercut from Il.
Il stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Silva throws a head kick that misses.

Silva is looking to clinch but Il is avoiding it.
Il fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Il uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Silva has time to react.
Silva is rocked!
Il lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Il finish him?
Silva circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Il. Silva falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Il!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kim Young Il!

A relieved looking Kim Young Il thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
