The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anadrade gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Anadrade wants to take the fight to the mat but Watson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Watson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Anadrade gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Anadrade has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Watson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Anadrade is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Watson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Anadrade seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Watson for as long as he can get away with.

Anadrade lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Anadrade looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Watson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Anadrade takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
