Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brendon Aberdeen!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Aberdeen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Aberdeen with a poor takedown
and Jackson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jackson looks to land a combination but Aberdeen avoids it well.
Jackson dips to his left and cracks Aberdeen with an uppercut!


Aberdeen is rocked!


It looks like Brendon Aberdeen has been cut.
Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jackson. Aberdeen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jackson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Jackson attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Aberdeen dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Aberdeen's head and hops out.

Jackson has closed the distance and engaged Aberdeen in a clinch.
Aberdeen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
George Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brendon Aberdeen.
Aberdeen is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jackson to keep the fight standing.

Aberdeen pulls guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jackson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Aberdeen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Aberdeen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Aberdeen managing to control the position.

George Jackson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A leg kick checked by Aberdeen.
Aberdeen closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Aberdeen pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jackson lands a jab to the head.
Aberdeen is still on wobbly legs! Can Jackson finish him?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Aberdeen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jackson counters with a big left hand that crumples Aberdeen! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). George Jackson!
