The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlyle jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Of Rivia misses with a left hand

and Carlyle counters with a shoot takedown. Of Rivia fights it but they end up in guard.
Of Rivia can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carlyle controls the pace.

Carlyle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Of Rivia swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Carlyle content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Of Rivia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carlyle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Carlyle sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Of Rivia's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Of Rivia can do anything to dispel that myth.

Carlyle is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Of Rivia is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
