Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ken Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Galante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Ken Masters !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Leo Galante!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters circling a little - Masters finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Good leg kick by Masters there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Galante just misses with a punch to the body.
Galante chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Masters can pounce on him.
A jab from Galante misses.
Masters throws a nice inside leg kick.
Masters lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Galante checks the leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Galante looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The fighters circling - Masters throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Galante misses with an uppercut. Masters saw that one coming.
Masters throws a series of punches but Galante avoids them all with ease.
Masters throws a front kick aimed at Galante's knee but Galante avoids it well.
Masters lands with a cross.

Masters pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Masters tries to close the distance and clinch but Galante swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Galante ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Ken Masters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Masters lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Galante throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Masters creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Galante tries to pull guard but Masters won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Masters is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Galante is defending well for now.

Masters swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Galante.

Galante closes this distance looking for a takedown but Masters circles away.
Ken Masters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leo Galante.

Galante tries to keep at a distance but Masters has taken the fight into the clinch.
Masters is looking to control Galante's arms but Galante gets an underhook and turns him. Now Masters has his back to the cage.
Our sources have told us that Masters has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Galante is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Masters pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Masters has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Galante is proving hard to escape from.

Galante not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Galante is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Galante wants to work for an arm triangle but Masters is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Galante is looking to stall here but Masters recovers full guard.

Masters lands a nice leg kick that just misses Galante's sensitive parts.

Masters shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Galante manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Masters slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Masters is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Galante's shoulder. That is not cool.
You can see the frustration on Galante's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Galante tries to bench press Masters off him but Masters keeps the position.
Masters happy to just control the position for now.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Masters is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Galante can do to turn this around?
Masters has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Masters lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Galante has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Galante and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Galante moves in looking to clinch but Masters pushes him off.

Galante blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Galante has gone for a leg lock! Masters slips out almost immediately though and dives into Galante's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Galante can do anything to dispel that myth.

and Masters counters with a stiff right hand.
Masters connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Masters avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Masters throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Masters shoots in for a takedown but Galante shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Masters throws a low kick but it's checked well by Galante.
Galante shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Masters pinned against the cage. Masters gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Masters closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Galante wants to get back to full guard.
Masters seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Galante does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Galante is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Masters is staying active.

Galante takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Galante avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Galante moves out of range as Masters throws a body kick.
Galante looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Masters throws a jab but it's blocked by Galante.
Masters ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Masters misses the jab.
Masters feints and then cracks Galante's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Galante down.

Galante closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Masters to the mat! Masters manages to get full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ken Masters showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Masters has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Ken Masters made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
The defeated Leo Galante had this to say: 'Dat was a fluuuke my boy. When's the rematch ?'.
