Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jermaine Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Straight Out of Compton. Tony Brown could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jermaine Johnson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jermaine Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Johnson is looking for a triangle but Brown pushes his legs off easily.
Johnson keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully.
Brown engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Johnson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, if Brown is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Brown wants to pass the guard but Johnson is defending well.
Johnson tries to roll over but Brown keeps him under control.
Johnson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brown is working away from the top position though.
Johnson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Brown haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Johnson is not content to let Brown control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Johnson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Brown really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brown shoots in looking for a takedown but Johnson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brown's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Brown closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brown lands in his opponent's guard.

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brown can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Brown has passed into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson doesn't have the hooks in and Brown manages to turn into his guard.
Johnson is trying to keep Brown in close.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jermaine Johnson wasn't active enough on the ground.

Brown throws a body shot but no joy.

It looks like Tony Brown has been cut.
Johnson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Johnson wants to clinch.
Johnson leaves Brown with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brown avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Decent striking displayed by Johnson there.
Johnson walks forward, straight into a front kick from Brown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Brown's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Brown closes the distance and clinches up with Johnson, looking for a takedown. Brown pushes Johnson against the cage but Johnson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Brown takes one to the chin there.
Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brown manages to avoid it.
Brown bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
The fighters circle momentarily. Johnson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.


Brown is rocked!
Johnson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Johnson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Brown sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Oh Brown is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Johnson misses the jab.
Johnson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Brown.

Johnson throws an overhand right that lands on Brown's shoulder, as Brown tries to avoid the shot.
Horrible takedown attempt by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson, which made it look bad.
Brown shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Brown closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Brown is stalling here. Johnson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Brown seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Johnson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brown keeps working.

Johnson wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Brown's closed guard. He's half up but Brown has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Brown pivots and extends the arm, Johnson falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Brown! Well done that man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tony Brown!
Tony Brown seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
