The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore throws a right hand that Mayer ducks under and follows up with a left that Mayer also avoids with ease.
Mayer dives in for a single leg takedown but Moore sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Mayer successfully pulls guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Moore wants to get up but he can't break Mayer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Mayer has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Moore doesn't defend quickly enough and Mayer has managed to lock this one up! Can Moore escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mayer on a fantastic submission victory.
