Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Louis Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khaosai Galaxy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Louis Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Khaosai Galaxy!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Galaxy darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Guy wants to control but Galaxy is keeping busy.
Guy controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.

Guy looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Guy is looking for a sweep. Galaxy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Guy trying to hold on to Galaxy's head to control him but Galaxy postures up.
Guy is pressing down on Galaxy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Galaxy trying to control the position from guard on top but Guy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Guy pulls Galaxy in close to prevent any damage.
Guy trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Galaxy tries to free his leg and advance position but Guy is retaining full guard.
Galaxy is looking to advance position but Guy has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Galaxy is bucking up trying to escape but Guy cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Guy lands a big shot there that rocks Galaxy but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Guy fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Galaxy reaches up and holds on to Guy to control the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guy postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Galaxy looks a forlorn figure.

Galaxy is wriggling around trying to escape.
Galaxy is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Galaxy is squirming around, avoiding Guy's attempts to control the action.
Guy lands a heavy elbow.
Guy lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Guy prevents Galaxy from getting the reversal.
Guy looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Guy looking to control but Galaxy is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Guy cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Guy with shots to the head and body - Galaxy looks very uncomfortable down there.
Guy lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Guy is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Galaxy can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Guy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Guy lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Galaxy looks winded!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Guy lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Galaxy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Guy is trying to defend but Galaxy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Guy is looking to improve his position.
Guy is trying to maintain the position but Galaxy is very close to passing his half guard.
Galaxy wants to control but Guy is keeping him busy.
Guy manages to get to full guard.
Guy is controlling Galaxy's posture.

Guy has his hands on Galaxy's head, controlling the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Galaxy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Guy fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Guy manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Guy pulls Galaxy in close to prevent any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Galaxy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Guy is keeping the position for now.
Guy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Guy pulls Galaxy in close to his closed guard and prevents Galaxy from doing any damage or advancing position.
Guy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Guy keeping moving, preventing Galaxy from controlling successfully.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Galaxy wanted to stand there but Guy had control of the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Guy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Galaxy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Guy throws a strike but Galaxy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Guy has Galaxy pulled in close to control his posture.

Guy pulls Galaxy in to control the position.
Galaxy trying to control the position from guard on top but Guy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Khaosai Galaxy.

Galaxy shoots in and bounces Guy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Louis Guy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Louis Guy will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Guy enables Galaxy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Guy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Guy is pulling down on Galaxy's head. It's preventing any offense from Galaxy, at least for the moment.
Guy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Galaxy is one step ahead there.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Guy is on top in guard.

Guy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Galaxy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Galaxy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Guy is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guy keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Galaxy's head.
Guy is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Guy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Guy throws a big right hand that misses.
Guy connects with a couple of short punches.

Guy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Guy slips nicely into half guard.
Galaxy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Guy prevents Galaxy from improving his position.
Guy is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Guy stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Guy forces Galaxy back against the cage and clinches.

Galaxy lands a takedown into guard.
Guy seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Guy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Guy is adopting a defensive guard.
Guy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Galaxy manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Louis Guy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Guy is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Louis Guy showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Guy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
