PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Wheeler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silky Bianchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bianchi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bianchi lands in his opponent's guard.
Wheeler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bianchi stops Wheeler from standing up.
Bianchi lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Bianchi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wheeler's guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Wheeler is trying to stand back up but Bianchi is controlling him

Bianchi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wheeler bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Bianchi lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Bianchi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wheeler is proving hard to escape from.

Wheeler tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Bianchi has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Bianchi has hold of Wheeler's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Wheeler manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bianchi connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Wheeler to escape the position.

Bianchi has taken the fight to the clinch.

Wheeler jumps guard but Bianchi stands there with Wheeler around his waist. Wheeler gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bianchi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wheeler looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wheeler is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bianchi has just dragged him back down to the mat.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bianchi in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
A lull in the action here as Bianchi stalls from top position.

Bianchi is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Silky Bianchi has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bianchi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Wheeler avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Bianchi throws a head kick but Wheeler moves out of range.

Bianchi has picked Wheeler up - he's going for a ride! Bianchi dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bianchi won't let Wheeler get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Bianchi is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Wheeler is surviving well by controlling Bianchi's body position as best he can.
