Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marijo Palavra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aki Sunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sunn has chosen Yngwie Malmsteen Rising Force as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sunn with a jab.
Sunn digs a good body shot into Palavra's ribs.
Aki Sunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sunn decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Palavra actively working from the bottom here.
Sunn thows a huge punch but Palavra dodges it nicely.

Palavra has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Sunn. Oh but Palavra has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Sunn goes limp - he's gone! Palavra jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
