The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kasa shoots and misses

and Houston counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Houston.

Houston breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kasa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kasa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Houston throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kasa works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Kasa has Houston pulled in close to control his posture.
Houston loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Houston working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kasa's head.
Houston is looking to work some ground and pound but Kasa has wrist control.
Kasa is pulling down on Houston's head to control his posture.

Houston throws a big elbow that misses.
Kasa bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Houston's guard.

Houston tries to escape but Kasa is in control.
Houston tries to buck Kasa off but Kasa is having none of it.
Kasa slows the pace down.

Kasa is working to tighten his grip on Houston's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Houston has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kasa is really squeezing tight and eventually Houston passes out! Kasa breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
