The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Wilkinson.
New prevents Wilkinson from moving into mount.
What's New going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
New is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Wilkinson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Wilkinson wants to pass the guard but New is defending well.
New tries to get to full guard but Wilkinson has control of the leg.

New makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
New tries for a takedown but Wilkinson circles away easily
and New takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Danny Wilkinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gee New.

Wilkinson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wilkinson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

New had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wilkinson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. New Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wilkinson's back instead.

New is throwing shots to the body but Wilkinson manages to wriggle free. New pounces on him again and ends up in Wilkinson's guard.
Wilkinson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
New trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilkinson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wilkinson is looking for a triangle but New pushes his legs off easily.
Wilkinson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for New!
