Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Duffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Maximov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duffy comes to the cage accompanied by Down with the Sickness. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Duffy.
Duffy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Maximov pinned against the cage. Maximov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Maximov lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Duffy at a distance.
Maximov looks to land a combination but Duffy avoids it well.

Duffy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Duffy showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Duffy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Maximov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Duffy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

It looks like Oleg Maximov has been cut.

After the fight, Mikey Duffy was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
