Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reyes Olsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reyes Olsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olsen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Olsen wants it to stay on the feet.
Olsen throws a sloppy head kick and Ward moves out of range easily.
Olsen lands a jab to the head.
Ward misses with a straight right.
Ward misses the jab.
Olsen checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Ward throws a poor cross that misses
and Olsen counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Ward rushes Olsen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Still in the clinch, Ward scores with a nice short uppercut.
Olsen lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ward backwards.
Olsen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Olsen blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Olsen prevents a body shot from Ward.
Ward blocks an uppercut.
Ward displaying some good clinch control by pressing Olsen up against the cage.
Ward tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Olsen's elbow.
A nice left hand lands by Ward.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Olsen is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ward to keep the fight standing.
Ward trying to stall but Olsen improves his position.
Olsen has had enough of the clinch but Ward keeps him there for the moment.

Ward escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ward connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Olsen momentarily.
Ward looks to land a right hand but Olsen moved out of range.
Rick Ward seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ward throws out a loose jab but Olsen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Olsen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A lazy left from Olsen finds it's target.
Ward waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Olsen.
Olsen drops his hands momentarily and Ward takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Ward dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Olsen dives in for a single leg takedown but Ward sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Ward tries to throw a body punch but Olsen avoids it by throwing Ward back against the cage.

Olsen is breathing heavily.
Ward doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Olsen blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Olsen has clasped his hands together around Ward's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ward keeps Olsen under control for a moment.

Ward wants to control but Olsen postures up.
Ward tries to buck Olsen off but Olsen is having none of it.
Ward holds on to Olsen's head and controls the position momentarily.
Ward's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Ward is trying to improve his position.
Olsen tries to stand but Ward is controlling his head.
Ward is looking for a sweep.
Ward manages to work his way to half guard, despite Olsen's best efforts.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ward can do anything to dispel that myth.
Olsen wants to take a breather but Ward is having none of it.
Ward has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Olsen is working away from the top position though.

Ward makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ward.
Olsen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ward is proving hard to escape from.
Ward looking for a sweep. Not yet Ward, not yet.
Olsen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Olsen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ward is pulling down on Olsen's head to control his posture.
Olsen trying to control but Ward is working from the bottom.
Ward looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Reyes Olsen has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Olsen walks into a straight right hand from Ward.
Olsen wants to clinch up but Ward keeps it at a distance.
We've been informed that Ward has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Ward clobbers Olsen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Ward lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Olsen circles away quickly and effectively.
A slow jab from Ward misses its intended target.

Olsen has Ward up against the cage in a clinch.
Olsen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Olsen misses with a punch on the inside.
Ward makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Olsen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ward misses with a hook.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ward swings for the body but Olsen moves out of range.
Ward throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ward throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ward throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Olsen.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rick Ward dominated that round.

Ward scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Olsen.
Ward keeps the fight on the outside.
Ward might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Ward fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Olsen on the side of the head.
Olsen moves forwards but Ward connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ward misses with a hook. Olsen ducked under it nicely.
Ward throws a good cross that connects.
Ward lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Olsen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ward.

Ward dodges the punch combination from Olsen.
Olsen tries to clinch but Ward is having none of it.

Ward tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Olsen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Olsen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ward connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Olsen scrambles back to his feet.

Olsen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Ward connects with a good right hand that stumbles Olsen. Olsen circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Ward cracks Olsen with an open hand slap.
Ward throws a hook but Olsen blocks it.

Ward tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Olsen was well out of range. Poor timing from Ward.

and Olsen counters by clinching up.
Ward pushes Olsen back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Olsen wants to get back to striking at distance but Ward won't allow it.

A right handed body shot lands from Ward.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ward lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Olsen lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Olsen with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Ward lands a body shot in the clinch.
Olsen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Ward gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Ward distracts Olsen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ward accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ward throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Olsen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ward advances position into side control!
Ward has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Olsen is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oh Olsen is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ward loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Olsen scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Ward land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Ward stands and salutes the crowd.
