Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Borden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Gentile (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borden comes to the cage accompanied by Im Just Being Honest- Mozzy. Joe Gentile has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Daniel Borden's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borden tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gentile.
Gentile shoots in for a takedown but Borden shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Daniel Borden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gentile closes this distance looking for a takedown but Borden circles away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Daniel Borden wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Gentile changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Borden tries to avoid it but Gentile manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Borden to the ground. Borden escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Borden tries to close the distance and clinch but Gentile swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Borden darts in and clinches Gentile up against the cage.

Gentile has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Borden avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Gentile wants to take the fight to the mat but Borden manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Borden escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Borden clinches up with Gentile and pushes him back against the cage.

That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Borden will probably get the nod.

Borden feints and then cracks Gentile's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gentile down.

Gentile shoots for a double leg takedown but Borden sprawls well. He's pushed Gentile's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
No luck for Gentile with that takedown attempt.
