Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Van De Velde gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Van De Velde manages to break the clinch.
Van De Velde tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cruz throws a body kick that misses
and Van De Velde counters with a nice body kick.
Cruz pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Cruz throws the kick towards the body but Van De Velde avoids it.

Van De Velde has Cruz up against the cage in a clinch.

Van De Velde manages to break the clinch.

Van De Velde gets a clinch.

Van De Velde breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cruz connects with an inside leg kick.
Cruz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Van De Velde connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cruz scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Jos Cruz has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cruz misses with the body kick
and Van De Velde counters with a nice kick to the body.
Cruz takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Cruz misses with a kick to the body.
That kick from Van De Velde tenderised Cruz's leg. Cruz is trying to keep his angry face on.
Cruz really is a fat lump.
Cruz is breathing heavily.
A right-left combo lands from Van De Velde.

Cruz gets tackled into the cage by Van De Velde. Van De Velde maintains the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Van De Velde escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Van De Velde digs a good body shot into Cruz's ribs.

Van De Velde darts in and clinches Cruz up against the cage.
Cruz tries to stall but Van De Velde uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Van De Velde breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Van De Velde misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cruz throws a lazy body kick
and Van De Velde counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Cruz takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A nice inside leg kick there by Van De Velde. That's going to slow Cruz down.
Van De Velde pushes Cruz away with a front kick.

Van De Velde lands a left and a right that send Cruz crashing to the mat, dazed. Van De Velde thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Cruz is rocked!

Jos Cruz's cut is getting worse.

Van De Velde clinches up with Cruz and pushes him back against the cage.
Oh Cruz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Van De Velde breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cruz seems to have got his legs back now.

Van De Velde gets a clinch.

Van De Velde's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cruz has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Van De Velde.

Van De Velde cracks Cruz with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Cruz looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Van De Velde finish him?
Van De Velde lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Cruz crumples to the floor! Van De Velde milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
