The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lopez enables Lambert to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lopez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Lambert shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lopez pinned against the cage. Lopez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fighters circling - Lopez throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Lambert's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Lambert is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Lopez has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
