Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jackson Sampson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hubert Rozwal!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sampson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rozwal.
Sampson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rozwal tries to avoid it but Sampson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rozwal to the ground. Rozwal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sampson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Jackson Sampson has been cut.
Rozwal wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Rozwal lands with a kick to the ribs.
Sampson fails with the takedown.
Left hook, right uppercut from Rozwal.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rozwal connects with a looping right hand.
Sampson is rocked!
Sampson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Oh Sampson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sampson is breathing heavily.
Rozwal fakes the body blow, causing Sampson to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Sampson goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
