Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hades Destroyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Pegeant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dennis Pegeant will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hades Destroyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dennis Pegeant!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Pegeant swinging wildly here.
Destroyer slips a jab and a cross from Pegeant.
Destroyer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Pegeant throws a body punch but Destroyer moves out of range.

Destroyer gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pegeant to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Pegeant is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Destroyer is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Destroyer has Pegeant pulled in close to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hades Destroyer has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Pegeant shoots in for a double leg but Destroyer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pegeant fails to land with a series of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pegeant looks to score with a jab to the body but Destroyer is just out of range.
A left and a right from Pegeant both land. Nice combination.
Dennis Pegeant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pegeant throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Destroyer.
Pegeant misses with a few strikes there.
Pegeant swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pegeant fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Pegeant throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Destroyer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pegeant is in Destroyer's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Destroyer pulls Pegeant in close to prevent any damage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hades Destroyer.
Pegeant cracks Destroyer with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Pegeant lands a nice shot to the body.
Pegeant listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Destroyer shoots for a takedown but Pegeant saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dennis Pegeant dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Pegeant swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pegeant will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Destroyer takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
A big right from Pegeant misses.

Destroyer leaves Pegeant with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A looping hook to the body misses from Pegeant. Destroyer does a little dance to reset his feet.

We're going to have a standup here because Hades Destroyer wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Destroyer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Destroyer there as he acknowledges the shot.

Pegeant shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Destroyer sprawls well. Destroyer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pegeant gets slowly back to his feet.
Hades Destroyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dennis Pegeant.

Pegeant closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Destroyer is trying to control Pegeant's posture but Pegeant avoids it.

Pegeant is working Destroyer over with some ground and pound from side control.
Destroyer wants to control but Pegeant postures up.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pegeant working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Hades Destroyer has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Destroyer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pegeant pinned against the cage. Pegeant gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Pegeant shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Pegeant was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dennis Pegeant showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Pegeant throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Destroyer was covering up waiting for the punch and Pegeant finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Pegeant is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dennis Pegeant comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pegeant has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
