And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ruslan Mstislav Byhenikov!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Byhenikov misses.
Joe walks into a straight right hand from Byhenikov.
Good work by Byhenikov as he checks the leg kick.
Byhenikov shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Joe drives through with a takedown into guard.
Joe wants to control from the top but Byhenikov keeps moving.
We've been hearing that Joe has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Joe keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Byhenikov's head.

Joe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Byhenikov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Joe has managed to get both his arms back between Byhenikov's legs - danger averted.
Joe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Joe postures up and lands a big shot to Byhenikov's brow.
Byhenikov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Byhenikov is on top in guard.
Byhenikov wants to control from the top but Joe keeps moving.

Byhenikov wants to pass the guard but Joe is keeping the position.
Joe manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Joe avoids the attempt from Byhenikov to control.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Joe lands a couple of good shots and Byhenikov has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Byhenikov is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Joe off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Joe.

Joe is not going to allow Byhenikov to sit and survive in this position.

Byhenikov is still in real trouble! Can Joe finish him?
Joe lands a big shot to the side of the head and Byhenikov goes limp! He's out cold - the ref jumps in to save him from more punishment!
