The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Wheeler.
Watson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Wheeler asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Wheeler is chipping away with strikes.
Watson is looking for a sweep.

Watson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Watson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Wheeler is controlling him well.
Watson tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Wheeler has hold of Watson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Watson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Wheeler cranks the arm and Watson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Watson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
