Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabian Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Wiringi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fabian Ray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ray Wiringi!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Francis DeMontford and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wiringi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ray wants to improve his position but Wiringi is controlling well.

Ray is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wiringi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wiringi's back!

Ray has the hooks in. Wiringi is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Wiringi really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Ray's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ray really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Wiringi manages to reverse the position and now he's in Ray's guard. Nice work there by Wiringi.

and Wiringi counters with a crisp one two that drops Ray! Wiringi thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ray to his feet! Ray is in big trouble!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wiringi has taken the fight to the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ray sneaks out the side door and pushes Wiringi away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Ray looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wiringi is one step ahead there.

Wiringi is taking a breather. Ray says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Ray is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Wiringi jumps into side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wiringi is working for a guillotine from mount but Ray frees his head quite easily.

Ray is trying desperately to improve position.

Ray Wiringi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Wiringi looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Wiringi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wiringi manages to capitalize on a mistake by Ray to take his back!

Well Wiringi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
